Lite Stones get their color from an environmentally friendly ceramic satin that gets absorbed into the porous material so these fire stones age gradually, and do not lose their color to heat and elements. Lite Stones are designed to be accents and set on top of your media (Lava Rocks or Fire Glass) in your fireplace or fire pit. Each set also includes 2 lbs of small lava rocks.
