“F” Burner - L-shaped half-pan burner that sits on the firebox floor underneath a grate. Single pipe burner provides flame and ember glow.
The Rasmussen "F" Flaming Ember With Manual Easy Safety Pilot Control is designed with a basic single tube burner and paired with a grate. This hearth kit will produce pleasing, variable flames with a more compact ember bed.
Safety Lighting Kits provide safety shutdown in the event of an interruption in the gas supply or flameout. They also provide a convenient means of lighting the main burner(s) and controlling the flame height. They are required for all indoor propane installations, advisable for indoor natural gas, and are required for installations in certain jurisdictions. There are two main categories of Safety Lighting Kits:
- Standing Pilots (SP) (Manual, "EASY" and Millivolt); and
- Pilot on Demand-Electronic Ignition Systems (EIS)
Basic Manual Control (SPK1) - turn the valve knob to light the main burner and adjust the flame height. Is not upgradable to remote control. Has 150,000 BTU/hour capacity (up to 42" set size) with 3/4" i.d. gas line
This vented burner system operates on natural gas with a heat output of 32,000 BTUs. The burner pan is constructed of heavy 16-gauge steel, with 1/2" schedule-40 pipe for the main burner tube and 1/4" steel tubing for the ember booster. Each hearth kit comes complete with:

This burner is for use only in fully functioning fireplaces in which it is safe to burn wood and with the damper wide open. Glass doors must be wide open when burning for proper ventilation, proper combustion and cooling of safety control calves and components.
